'WOW' Writing

Yesterday we wrote about the thunder storm.  We are learning about different ways we can make our writing interesting for the reader.  We used words like flashes, cracking and rumble to describe the thunder and lightning.  We had lots of 'WOW' work!

"The thunder and hail was loud!" - Wereta

"I liked the thunder and flashes!" - Liam

"Bang! The lightning is cracking. Electric lightning." - Billy

"Crack went the thunder." - Douglas

"Loud rain and hail falling from the clouds" - Lachlan

Writing and Publishing

We have been busy publishing our stories today.  We know there are a lot of different ways we can write so other people can enjoy reading our writing.  After publishing, we wrote some whiteboard stories.

Visiting the Library

We have visited the library today and those children with a library bag will be bringing home a book to share with family and friends.  Our library days are Tuesday and Friday :)

Learning About Each Other

We are learning all about our new friends in Room 1!  Today we have made a graph showing our favourite colours.  Which is the favourite colour?  How many people like blue?  Who likes black?  How many more people like orange rather than pink?  We wonder what Miss Hewson's favourite colour will be...
